Default UAV for airsoft games?

Hey. I need some reccomendations on this one. I'm a brand-new fixed-wing pilot (I've been flying a BCX2 heli for a while) and my friends had an idea to make a UAVfor airsoft matches. Basically what I'm looking for is the base airplane. It needs to be:
[*]Cheap (Not too far above the $100 mark)[*]Able to operate over a decent range[*]Fairly manouverable[*]Easy to fly [*]Easily repairable[/list]Any suggestions?

We need a little more info to help you out. I am not familiar with airsoft other than it is similar to paint ball and is kind of like capture the flag.

What do you want this UAV to do, Drop Something on your enemy, Aerial Surveilance, what???? That will help us narrow down what you need.

You say you fly Helis, why not use one of those for a UAV.

Have you ever flown a fixed wing RC aircraft? As you can guess it is very different from helis.

If you plan on attaching an airsoft gun or anything else involving a projectile on the plane, forget it. It is against AMA rules and generally a bad idea these days.

Where will this be flying? Near an AMA field? Near houses, people and property? You need to be careful. You don't want to interfere with a flying site or cause any comotion or damage that could turn people against local RC flyers.

If you goal is something besides shooting and you are in a safe area, I'd look at a cheap electric heli or small electric/glider type plane.

You may want to supply us with a few more details on what you are wanting to do. As mentioned attaching anything to a plane that fires anything is not a good plan at all. The AMA frowns on it, and since 9/11, there are a lot of other law enforcement agencies that might be interested in what you are doing and why. If you are refering to shooting at an RC plane with a paint ball gun, do a search here on RCU as that has been done. Good Luck, Dave

if it is just for surveilence and all that jargon, then you cant beat a kadet! If you are a builder or an arfer, they make one for you. get a fly cam and adjust it to the angle that works best. If you are looking for cheap, then there are lots of foamies that would be suitable. look for a large wing area and a low wing loading. You stated that you are new to planes, so get some instructions, and get good with the plane before going on any sorties. lastly, make sure you get some videos and post them on here for us to enjoy

We were just going to use it for surveillance. The field where we play airsoft is (to the best of my knowlege) nowhere near an AMA field. Idon't think that the field is within flying range of any personal property that isn't on the field as it is. We fully intend to warn people of the fact that there will be a model aircraft flying on the field, so there will be no surprises.
It would probably be a good idea to use a heli instead, since i'm used to flying those. (Dunno why I didn't think of this myself.) Thanks for the help.
