The commonly miss conseption of the Flat State.... KANSAS!!! (it realy is far far far away from flat. i mean i live on a hill!)(major pet peeve of mine is people calling us flat.) go KU and/or KSU, just whoever is playing at the time.

Born in Georgia, lived almost everywhere as an army brat. Spent 15 years gagging in Texas. Settled in North Alabama. Ft Payne i No hobby shop here. I have to drive to Chattanooga Tn or Huntsvile Al. Tower gets alot of my business.

I was born and raised in Texas but I live in Bumpass, Virginia now. Bumpass is in Louisa County. We're about 40 miles northwest of Richmond Va. One can drive right through Bumpass and never know they were there unless they drive right by the post office.

Born in England grew up in Germany, and along the east coast, Army brat. As an adult went in the Army stationed in Texas, Germany, Georgia, Virginia, and Viet Nam. After Army Virginia and Southern California where you can fly about 360 days a year, even when the ground is shaking

Portageville, Missouri, in the southeast corner known as swampeast missouri around here since it used to be a swamp before they drained it for farm land this is probably the flatest part of the state, but it makes my job easier (lots of rice fields)
this was a good idea never know some folks might get to buddy up and never knew how close they were to each other before this post!

I stay on my own Island - a huge airstrip with my jets, helicopters and planes. Yeah and I also use it for my rc flying aswell. I have a tower and everything. Sometimes the volcano errupts on the other side of the island, but hey what can one do - when nature wants to talk you have to let it talk. It almost ruined the runway last night with all the lava. Me and my Cheetah as a pet got away quick enough...PFFFTTT YEEAAAHHH RIGHT!!!

Northern Minnesota, we have one week of good flying weather, the rest of the time it's snowing and forty below! Don't get me wrong, it still snows when the weather is good, it's just it's only around 20 degrees then. We do use floats up here, but we use them as skis! If you can get your Pick-Up Truck started, we all go out to the 10,000 frozen lakes up here and fly from them! Previous to engine start, it's best to stick your engine in the exhaust of your running Pick-Up Truck, to warm the cylinder. Can't use Caster as it congeals at 20 degrees, have to use synthetic.
Glad I don't live in Canada (although we can see it from here) or AK where it's winter year round! We do have a good building season here and everyone hates ARFs!
