Default DX6I problems???

I know other members have had some issues with the DX6I radio. I had the throttle trim quit working due to the rocker tab breaking, and recently the thumb roller broke. I was able to fix both with some CA. (although the scroll works on the thumb roller, the button to select works only when it wants to.) I've had this TX for almost two years and have 5 RX for this system. but I'm thinking about switching over to something else. last weekend my club was having trainer races on sunday. I hadn't had my trainer together in a while so after reinstalling everything back into the airframe I headed out to the field on saturday to re-maiden the plane and trim it out so it would be ready for sunday to race. I had the plane dialed in so I headed home ready for sunday. Sunday, I was in the pits fueling my plane waiting for my heat race. as my race was called to the starting benches, my caller was helping me start the plane and I was having trouble getting it to stay running. confused as to why I noticed the throttle was reversed???? as I checked the rest of the control surfaces I realized everything was reversed. I've never had this happen before, and as anyone knows who has a DX6I this isn't something you can accidentally bump to change these settings. for some unknown reason the computer flipped everything on this model. if that had happened in flight you know what would've happened. has anyone else had this issue???

Default RE: DX6I problems???

I've noticed that the touch wheel on the DX6i is extremely touchy and this has caused some problems, though not fatal ones. It's very easy to bump the trans into first or second edit mode and not know you've done it. I'm not saying that this was absolutely what happened in your case but it might be something to think about. I've landed a plane and looked down to see a different model displayed on the main screen. This usually has happened right after I've changed models and not verified that the current model was set.YMMV.
