hey krecl here,
for my trainer what would e a good engine. I like the o.s .25 la engine, is it a good engine? If not what is, in this price range

Whether the 25LA is OK depends on the size of the plane. Do you have a plane in mind?
If you don't have the engine in that size and price range yet, I'd recommend the Magnum .28. Similar price, more power.

If its a 15 size trainer the 25 will be over kill and probably bugger up the CG as well, can you give us some more info? type of plane, weight, wingspan, how many chanels, etc, etc.
if you haven't flown before join a club and get some help other wise the first flight will probably be the planes last

its got a 5 foot wingspan. My uncle friend built it and its from the 60s so i dont no the make or model. i completly restored it painted recovered the wings and put in new electronics. a 4 channel futba. He also gave that to me, new in box

If it's from the 60's its probably an old timer design or an adaption of one of the early free flight glider, how much does it weigh and whats the wing area, from that we can calculate wing loading and have a guess at a motor size
