Ive just started building the Ben Buckle kit of the Mini Super.
It will be powered by a Thunder Tigre .15 and have 3 channel radio on 35Mhz.
I was planning on tissue covering to keep in with the era of it but that might change.
The radio is swiped from an old RTF helo and has the battery on one of the servo outlets, hense 3 channels, and cheap servos from a well know online auction site. (4 for 6.99GBP)
I am taking photos of the construction as I build it for a review.
Would anyone be interested in them if I were to post them?

I would use the iron on tissue covering, if you wanted to go that way. Probably cheaper than a quart of dope to seal it, and make it stick. Update us on your progress.

I would suggest using Solartex as the covering. The plane wont be affected by the slight weight penalty and it will look like you covered it in nylon but is much less hassle to apply. The model flies really well and I flew one regularly a few years go as a retro project. Mind you the club style police objected to my flying inverted circuits with it. This was with a standard 3 channle version and an OS15fp for power. Eventually sold it on to a guy who was learning to fly as it makes a great trainer.

So far I have the wings built except the centre section And both fuse sides made. The wings are further on than the pic shows.
Things are a little slow at the moment as I am building a cl plane to get some flying in at the local park.
I will give more updates and more pics later on.
