Hello I just bought an Alpha Trainer 40 RTF with a Spektrum Radio. It a nice model, I flew it today without a problem. I have a few questions about this model and was hoping for some insite.
-I was wondering if there is a way to mount the wing? Instead of using the rubber band system.
-The field that I am flying at is a problem because the grass is really thick because of all the rain we have had this year. I was wondering if I could get some bigger tires for it to help out? If so what are some good ones?
-Is there charger leads for a quick field charger? That will fit a Spektrum Transmitter and Reciever?
Thanks

I've read a thread on here somewhere about modifing the plane to use nylon bolts but not sure why you would want to. I used to fly at a schoolyard soccer field and the grass was a little tall there. I put 3 1/2 nose wheel on and that helped out. the problem I had was the prop striking the grass. the 3 1/2 nose wheel with 2 3/4 mains gave the plane a "prerunner" rake that gave the prop more clearance. landing was a bit funny, you had to make sure you set the mains down first or it would stress the nose gear. I'm not 100% but I think the wheels were "streamline feather lights". as far as the field charger, you can make a charge plug for the RX using a servo extension. I've never had problems needing to recharge the RX battery at the field I always charge everything overnight and it's good all day. I run 1200mah batts for my RX and I can fly all day ( average 8 flights) the lowest Ive seen my TX read is 5.2 volts and that is at the end of the day.

Go to Office Depot or a similar place and buy #64 rubber bands in a bag for around $6.00. They'll last all summer and probably all of next summer too.
