Well today was a great day. Not alot of wind...nice sky. Me and my instructor were at the field and I was practicing landings and then he had me try to take off. I did a few uneventfull and one was shady and he helped recover it from a total LOSS LOL!
Then after 6 touch and goes he had me land. I though we were going to take a break. NOPE! He pulled the plug, gave me my transmitter and said have fun and stepped back. He was in distance incase of a BIG emergancy I could pass it to him but there was no issues. I was nervous but I did it. I flew for another 30 minutes or so doing touch and goes and just having fun. Im soo excited!
I just want to give a big THANK YOU to all instructors....You guys keep things going and its VERY appreciated! Flying in the morning too! cant wait! Is there anything I can do to get this grin off my face? It seems to be permanent.

A solo flight is a great accomplishment and that wins you one genuine RCU ATTABOY (Suitable for framing, wrapping fish, or lining trashcans).

I've been in this hobby for 14 years and I still smile when I am out flying. I miss it right now. I haven't flown in about 3 weeks and i wont be flying till close to the end of the year. The Air Force has me in training for officer status so no flying for awhile. Congrats on your accomplishment. This is a very fulfilling hobby that has been a really great addition to my life. I am even getting my two year old son into it! He plays Realflight every day right now. For him the best part is he doesen't have to share it with Dad!
Congrats and happy flying!!!!

Great job! I remember that grin, it was only last year for me. Yesterday was a good day. took my trainer out for the first time in months and it was a blast going back to the high wing trainer....now I have 4 planes all ready to go and dont have to rebuild between every flying session to keep something ready to fly.. ( knock on wood )

So whats next?!
I keep practicing touch and goes but should I be doing anything else? My instructor, or old instructor
had me doing something where I use the body as a brake to bleed off altitude and speed really fast. But I didnt know if there was a good thing to practice besides these things. I also fake dead sticks for the experience. So far so good. I love this stuff LOL.
