This is just my opinion here.......I would recommend another instructor.......I taught my daughter to fly, and she is a good pilot......but it seems that parents expect more from their kids than they do of other people....as this is a hobby it is supposed to be fun.......something to watch out for.....
the way I teach:
1 level turns
2 figure eights all level turn
3 taxi
4 take offs
5 approaches getting lower and lower until the student lands
6 rudder

I agree with Jetmech05 on this one... I'd expect my Son to out fly me, and get a phone call from JR or Futaba with a six figure contract.[sm=lol.gif]
I have 7 years of flying R/C planes (Electric and Glow) and when I joined my Club they had two instructors on hand that had over 25 years of flying experience under both their belts.
My Club has a Club Trainer that was donated from another member, so if someone new doesn't quite own a plane yet, we will bring it out with a " Buddy Box." These guys have way far more experience than me, so when my son gets old enough and wants to fly airplanes like his Daddy, I'll ask them to teach my Son to fly.
Sure I fly Warbirds, Scale and Extra's and everyone says I'm very good. (Lucky is more like it) But teaching my Son or anybody else takes a special skill that I don't quite have yet. That's just me I guess.
Pete
