Hello I am a proud new owner of a 7c 2.4ghz radio system. I was wondering how to set up the timer using the throttle stick? I set it up like it said in the manual and when I move my throttle stick nothing happens.
Thanks

I have one of these and it is a bit fiddly.
You need to decide whether you are going to count up or down and select that.
Set the alarm limit. I use 8mins 30 secs; this normally gives me an extra 5 minutes at medium power. The reason for this is that sometimes we have pedestrians under the flight path and we have to wait for them to leave before landing.
The throttle positon sets whether the timer counts and you have to set the throttle lever, then select "On" in the menu window.
If the throttle is closed, the timer doesn't count, but when you open it above the trigger point, then it goes.

The bad thing about having it on the throttle is that you have to be at half throttle, or better for it to count down(up). Once you go lower than half throttle, the timer stops until you throttle up past half again. I think it would have been better to have it at 1/4 throttle instead.

I have the same radio. What is the purpose to assign the timer to the throttle ?
I'm using one of the switches to start the timer.

The process for settting the start point is on page 36 of the manual. Basicly, when you have the lever where you want it to come on, you press the dial and hold it for one secone. I have mine about two clicks above idle as well. I spend too much time at or below half.

Setting the timer to the throttle for a specific model is the most confusing
operation on the 7CAP transmitters. Assuming that my 72mhz transmitter
works the same as yours I will try to spell out the procedure.
Select the desired model and go to Timer function. Cursor to INH and dial it
to OFF. I set the throttle to 3 clicks up as the start point for the timer.
Cursor to the time and set the minutes and seconds desired. Set mode to
UP and use the dial to set SW to 3 and the up arrow. Cursor to SW and
press the dial. Then END.

I got mine to work at 3 clicks above idle also!! Learn something new everyday. I assigned it to a switch because I too spent too much time below half throttle.
