Hi
I have been reading about SPAD @ www.spadtothebone.com and belive this to be a good cheap way to start in the hobby. I need your advice to tell me which plane to build.

From: gone,
They have an appx 60 inch span version's plans at the bottom f the list of the "SPAD Originals." This is as close to the standard .40 class trainer as you can get. You'll want a .46 size engine, and use a 11X4, 11X5 or APC's 12.25X3.75 prop.
Cost to get the materials build will be about $35 - $40... but you'll have enough coroplast for another plane, and enough gutter pipe for 2 or 3 more planes. (sheet of coro from sign co will be $20, Gutter pipe about $5, Aluminum to bend landing gear about $3 then a nosewheel kit from hobby shop. misc screws, wheels...) There are 2 or 3 others with trike landing gear... any of those will owrk for a trainer, but the big one is best.
