Default Hitec Servo gear play

Ive got slop in the gears of a Hitec 5625 which I use on a rudder. Is it ok to take apart and just rotate the gears? or should I be replacing them with new gears?

Very good question, I have never given it any thought so never tried it. I have also never worn out the gear train but I have broken a lot of them so I have always just replaced them, cheap and only takes a few minutes. Why don't you give it a try and post up your results?

I think I will give it a shot. Ill save the $50 bucks spent on a new servo for a new plane instead!

I will post results.

Unless it's a standard servo that cost under about 12 bucks it's better to replace the gears.
