Falcon Trading Aerostar for 79.95 ?!?
http://www.acsupplyco.com/aerospace/rc/aerostararf.htm
Is this the same ARF as was reviewed in RCU magazine?

Dunno, it does sound kinda crazy. Horizon Hobbies had it for over 150.00 before they stopped carrying it. I did notice that the wing-span is different than the RCU review. Might be a typo since the weight is the same. If it is the same plane I'll be recomending it.

The AeroStar 40 " ARF "is no longer made. It is probably left over stock. It is a super plane and if you are even a little interested BUY ONE while you can. ENJOY !!! RED

The one reviewed by RCU was a Midwest that advertised a couple of features. Like UltraCote covering.
If the Falcon Trading "Aerostar" was the same, you can bet the farm they'd be advertising the same features.
Is it the same dimensions? Probably.
Is it the same value plane? Probably not.

Just to set things straight : Falcon Trading was a division of Midwest. The AeroStar 40 " ARF " carried the Midwest name and was sold through Falcon Trading. IT THE SAME PLANE !!!! ENJOY !!! RED

Then my "probably" was wrong. Not the first time.
It's a steal then.
I've always liked the unique look of the front of the airplane. I might just order one myself.
I do wonder why they advertise the Falcon Trading one as being "covered with bright high quality materials for good looks and durabilty" but Midwest advertised "...covered in Ultracote " ? Cheaper run when they were planning to close it out? whatever....... won't be the first cheap arf with cheap covering. If it really is, as opposed to a cheaper advertising copy writer.

They used ultracote on all the ARF Aero Stars. ( Even the Aero Bat ) Depends on who made the copy, might have been someone other then Midwest or Falcon. ENJOY !!! RED
