Well I finally got bored enough with my nexstar to do something about it. Picked up a Great Planes Revolver. Three days later it was ready to go. Just in time to get a little flying in before the season ends. For those of you thinking about steping to the next level, it is definetly worth it. Im really happy with the way this plane turned out. It needed two clicks of aileron and it was ready to go. Balanced right out of the box with the OS 46 I have on it. For anyone that owns one of these already, is there anything down the line to look out for?

Congrats, dufault.
As one that also started out on a NexSTAR, I recommend you still get some help flying this the first couple of times.
Nothing flies like a NexSTAR, and you can find yourself in trouble real easy with other planes.
Unless, of course, you've been trying some others, already.
Nice lookin' Revolver.
Good luck,
EJ

The Revolver is a wonderful flying airplane. It is not your Nexstar however. This plane will maneuver extremely fast and go exactly where it is pointed, including the ground. It can be stalled much easier than your trainer too.
The other thing I would be careful about is landing. It is a very slippery airframe that doesn't slow down like more draggy designs. This take a little getting used to on landings. Also, when it does slow down, don't get it too slow. I also find that while the color scheme looks great it can be easy to lose orientation in the sky. That could just be me though. Other than those minor complaints it is outstanding. I already have my eye on the 70" version.

As ChuckW said, it's a slippery airframe. They land hot compared to most others. And if they get too slow, they can be very unforgiving. You will always have to stay ahead of it. Just remember that if it gets to be too stressful, you can always consider something a bit more docile. One of the members at our club has a Revolver, and he is one of the more experienced pilots. Over the last month, I saw him at the field with a Cub. He said that he likes it better because he enjoys the relaxation. I think the high speeds and the stress finally got to him.
Congratulations, but the Revolver can and will surprise you when you least expect it. Good luck, and keep your speed up.
