Kenn.. I hate to be harsh, but could you possibly add a little punctuation to your post? It makes no sense the way it is. If you want someone to read it, try to make some complete sentences, adding periods, and so on.

Thanks.

simplest thing to do would be to cover the top of the wing blue just like the tail???.....leave the bottom yellow and just run two black stripes, 4" wide, on the bottom of the main wing, run them from front to back 2"-3" from the outside edge of the wing tips......let us know how the aileron wing goes???....

look's really good to me and don't feel bad, my LHS is exactly 2 hour's away too.....i buy all of my stuff on e-bay, or better known to some as "fee-bay"......i don't pay much attention to the politic's, because with e-bay the seller pay's the fee's, not the buyer(me).....you know you can get most of those wrinkles out of that plane with a RC covering iron, or you can use a regular clothes iron and a wash towel......get the clothes iron hot and lay the wash towel over covering to prevent burning the covering.....start with medium hot, then turn the heat up slowly until you obtain the proper temperature.....i have a covering iron now, but back when i first started out, i didn't own enough planes to warrant spending the extra money, so i just used the wifey's clothes iron when she was at work.....ha! ha! ha!......if you do decide to finish the rest of the plane, it should look something like this(see pictures)......this little red and white trainer was one of my first planes, i'm pretty sure it was a SIG LT "something????.....kinda small with a o.s. 25fp, flew like a son of a b***ch, classic SIG quality for you.......i still have the motor on a "HOUSE of BALSA"-"GAS STIK 10"......10 size "stik" with an o.s. 25fp, flies hot, but what a freakin' blast, it's a "STIK" and it will do anything you want it to.....plus it keep's me young, if you know what i mean???.....bad thing is, i need to swallow a whole six-pak of "coronas" when i get home to get my hand's to stop trembling......ha! ha! ha!.....you know you could go over that blue with some bright red and then use some black for trim......black checkers, about 1" square, layed out in an angle at the wing tip's......hang on, let me go take a couple of pick's of my airplane trim schemes.....the yellow one is a "ACCEL HOBBIES-KATANA 30E" electric, this is what i mean when i say to lay checker's at an angle, at the wings tip's.....i drew and cut the flames, freehand and the numbers 22, too......i played with the shape of the number 22, to follow the angle of the checker's, kinda look's like nascar race car's.....you could also go with the trim scheme on the trainer since it more resembles your plane......one sheet each of self-stick red and white should be plenty......i think red and black self-stick should go right over the old blue and should really set it off in the air......i included one picture of self-stick checker's, but i think the bigger 1" squares would look better.....a little more work to cut them out by hand, but well worth the effort.....i used the "fonts" program on my windows/computer to find the right shape of number "22" and then i printed it out, scanned it with the same printer and then used the computer to "blow" it up to the size i wanted to use and to angle the numbers to match the angle of the checkers at the wing-tip's......i don't know, maybe too much work, maybe you can find a easier way to do it......i hope this help's/give's you new idea's......kenncarleton, keep us posted, send us some pick's.....let us know if we can be of any further assistance in contributing to your "success".....KOOLKRABBER47......
