OK.. So I just want to share my agony with you all... LOL I've only been flying 2 months... Been using sim trainer on computer for over a year. Flying my trainer inverted / loops / rolls/ tail stalls.... Was feeling real good every one saying how great I was doing for only 2 months... Basically just about ripping the wings off it... and having a great time. Getting ready for my second plane... Then the GODS steped in and put me in my place. Well, landed tons of time no problems... Landing into a 7 -8 mile hr wind... smooth as can be... half foot off the ground plane Power flips... and slam.. bam.. thank you Mame. Not sure what happened.. Lost lift because of a wind gust... and tip stalled or just gust of wind caught wing and fliped it... real fast flip nose up and over... on it's lid... Just wanted to share the misery... LOL NEST STEP REBUILD AND MOVE ON>>> any Other ideas what might have happened other then mine let me know...

Bull,
Are you looking for cheap excuses? What you said is exactly what happened. It's called a bad landing. You go home, patch the wingtip with Ca, straighten the gear, put on a new prop and get back to the field before it gets dark. It takes less time than you spent whining about it in this forum.

Oh well, If you fly, you will crash every once in a while, no matter how good you are.
Ask Jason Shulman. He's a TOC Champion, and crashed&burned his 10000$ plane during some training runs at the TOC in 2001 (could be 2000/2 as well, dunno exactly)
S**t happens when men tries to overcome gravity....

Bull, I realize it's not polite to accuse someone of whining; but with a name like yours, I figured you could take it.
If you're doing all those aerobatics with your trainer, you SHOULD be looking for a second plane.

it was a bad landing and you crashed! 7-8 mph winds are nothing! I am still training and yesterday I was flying in 15 mph winds with no problem of landing or taking off!

My crash wasn't near as bad as yours... I just broke off the nose and had damage to the fire wall... No wing or tail damage... Lucky I was inches from the ground...

As you said:

slam.. bam.. thank you Mame.

up and over... on it's lid."

Yes, it certainly sounds like a "bad landing".
But here's the question:
(this is a "Beginners forum, afterall).
What will you be watching for the next time you're in that situation?
(I assume from your post you will be getting back on that horse again soon).
Also, ...."power flips?
Splain please.

Sounds to me like you're doing well (envious).
Thought when you said power flip it was some kind of manuver related to torque.
I've been fooling with a sim myself.
I like it for learning turns going away and coming to (control reversal) but I don't like the lack of peripheral vision and no view of the ground as the plane gains altitude...one can loose sight of the ground on the computer screen in front of you way to easy - and that doesn't happen (IMHO) to the same extent at the field.
Which sim are you using?
