Does anybody know where I can find a wiring blue print for preferably a USB cable, but a serial cable will do, for a tx to computer setup. I have already made a training cable for my Futaba, I didn't feel like spending $16.00 to $18.00 for one thru TH's so made my own for just under $5.00. I figure I can save myself some more money and do the same with a sim flight cable also, just need to know what I need and how to wire it. I tried a search with no luck on here, so thought someone might have a link or know where to find it here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Jim Starbuck

Dennis,
Yeah, I want to do this for FMS. I checked the FMS website on the links, but everybody on there is trying to sell there stuff as a kit or pre-assembled for about $40.00 or more, and no wireing instructions to be found, but I'll bet they come with the kit! I think I can do this for cheaper than that, I know that the 6 pin din for Futaba is only $1.19 and the cable and computer connectors will be for free, I work in the computer industry so I can get the computer stuff very easy, it's just the wiring that's got me on this little project.

Hello,
Check out this simple interface for FMS:
SmartPropo
The site mentions using the DSC cable, but you can use any shielded single conductor cable. I assume you already have the Tx pin-outs for the plug. This interface is by far one of the simplest I have seen. I also built this interface for my own use too. If your radio is only capable of FM transmission, you may experience jittery simulator response, but with PCM it is very smooth. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask, I would be glad to help.
