How did you guys mount the canopy? It look like you screwed it on with fastners... Please let me know. I'm at that stage and I don't know if I should glue it on.

on some planes I use canopy glue and on some I use small screws.

Keep in mind that ca will fog it and epoxy will yellow it, Canopy glue dries clear...John

Canopy glue will seal the outside atmosphere out. This can result in your canopy fogging in the warm sun similiar to a plant terarium effect. To fix this drill a tiny hole in the canopy near the back. Make sure that its on the opposite side of the muffler exhaust. You can alo use a hot pin to melt a small hole to do the same job. I like to use RC56 canopy glue. COmes out of the tube white and drys clear. Will glue almost anything to anything and is very nice to work with. Only thing is, this glue takes overnight to dry.

Dark, an important thing to remember when attaching a canopy is that there should be no "openings" (no matter how small) facing in the forward direction. Air can get in there and rip that canopy right off. Remember, even a trainer will travel up to 60 MPH! Some people, after attaching with screws or glue, seal the edge all the way around with "trim tape". This keeps the air out, but remember what Fatsky said, you dont want it completely air tite or it could fog (like a watch does when it gets wet).

I have used clear silicone with very good results.
Tape it down with masking tape over night.

Screws work well to and give you access later if you need it.
