I think it will, Gene. If I recall, the Vanguard was the newer technology, entry level radio.

What happens is that the buddy box, in this case, does not mirror any of the settings on the main transmitter, meaning, any expo, rates, or anything else will not relate to the buddy box. Only the four channel operation works from one to the other. At least, that's how it worked with mine when I buddy boxed it with an RD6000.

If I remember correctly it will as well. I shot an email off to Mike Greenshields to verify, but I haven't heard back from him yet. When I do I'll let you know what he says

I'm not sure if the transmitters will work that way but for Airtronics questions just give Jack a call.

He'll answer all your questions concerning your Airtronics gear. Don't tell anyone, but he's an American and he even speaks and comprehends the English language

Ok, went and looked at the manual for the RDS 8000. It states on page 15 that you CAN use a Vanguard as a buddy box. For future reference you can use the following as buddy boxes; VG 400, VG 600, RD 6000, RD 8000, Radiant, or the Vanguards.

Rebsix - Jack (Albrecht) is not at the 714 number listed - that is a Fountain Valley number and he is not there.
The 800 number listed is correct.

Duly noted and corrected. I've always used the 800 number but both numbers are hand written in my manual with Jack's name next to them. I must have written it like that ages ago when I got the numbers from someone.
