Default fast EDF jets ?

Hey guys been flying helis for 4 years now and i also fly my stryker ,,love that by the way. i know nothing about ducted fans and how to purchase a good jet with 100MPH speed. i understand all the electronics pretty good IE ,,ESCs ,batterys ect. i fly the strker real well and pretty confident in my flying, when i look these jets up nothing ever says the speed on it ? ,,i bought the mig-29 ,very disapointed in the speed and it really sounds like crap and cant even find replacement parts for it. busted my front landing gear. i think the fans are out of balance so ive been reading how to str8in this out but no landing gear,,if i thought it could i would just take the gear off..the way it flys now,no way i could just toss it like my stryker.so just looking for some help here guys on wich websites to go to and looking for a fast jet..Thanks again sorry for the long post.</p>

I hear that the Parkzone Habu performs pretty well. Best part is that it comes from a reputable manufacturer who will provide support and spare parts. You might also get some good advice over in the electric forums.

150 MPH to 180 MPH on an Ultrafly Spear with an HET 2W motor and 70mm FAN...

It's VERY hard to track something this fast and small.

There's also a new hobby shop opening out on 41 as you drive toward Yosemite. It's not too far north of Ave. 12 where you turn to go to the flying field. I believe the owner is calling it Madera Hobby. It's sort of a side business to his golf cart shop and it is supposed to be airplane only, no cars, toys or other stuff. I haven;t been there in a few weeks but I know he is steadilly getting stocked up.

Have a look here [link=http://www.bvmjets.com/Pages/electric.html]CLICKY[/link] these guys have a turnkey system with serious perfomance available.

Tamjets also have good edf knowledge and can give you a combo that works off the shelf.

Mind you for a big fast jet with retracts you are talking big money!

Hey Chuck,,thanks for the info on the hobby shops..2 things ,i really want to get my strker flying faster but dont know anything about the motors or what ESC i should go with or that would even work ,,like i said ,i know Helis inside and out but nothing about planes or edf jets but really want to learn more about em..i also have that mig-29 running on a 2200Mah 3s..but man its been crap and sounds like crap,so i dont know if im ever gonna get this thing going ,but out of the box said 70MPH,,this thing isnt flying 45MPH and the guys said when i flew it to bring it down it sounds bad. so ive been reading and trying to learn more about these things but you know when you start,,i feel like a deer in the head lights right now. any advice would be greatly appreciated,,Thanks Chuck..i also hear people are flying at shields and fowler now,,have you been out there?
