buddy box on 2.4

I have just put in my first flights on my JR8103 converted to 2.4. The question is how is the buddy box ( or cord ) set up different? Or is it just the same? I would think that since the signal is being transmitted thru the Master TX and that is on 2.4 that I should not have any problems. But I thought I would ask before I did it. Thanks.

You have it right. It's no different.
The signals are all PPM until they hit the module, so there is no problem with the trainer cord provided you are using similiar TX's.
Remember to be SURE that with your hands off BOTH sticks, and the throttle set identically on both TX's, whenever you flip the switch, there should be NO CHANGE on any surface...
Make sure this is the case before you try to fly.
Then test the direction and movements of the control surfaces for each radio.
A good practice is to start with each stick direction, then go say full right on ailerons, hold both sticks there and flip the switch.
Again each time the switch is flipped NOTHING should change on the plane.
Any change represents some variation, setting, range, etc. which is not the same between the two radios and must be fixed.

Thanks for the conformation. But to check throttle is sort of hard to do. It's a sailplane.
But I understand about matching the settings. I wanted to try the 2.4 on an easy set up before going on to my big birds. The buddy system was just a thought that came to mind. Again, thanks.
