A bigger cone makes a HUGE difference.
I've been able to turn over 50CC engines using a large cone on an heavy duty Hobbico starter, with two 7.2v NiMH 3200mAh packs wired in series.
With a smaller cone there is no way this would work.
I'm a bit surprised at some of the numbers posted above for current draw.
There is no way I'm hitting anything like those numbers, yet I'm regularly turning over my Magnum 1.80's. 26cc gassers and below with ease.
The 50CC engines are at the limit for my combo though.
