Default Os. Max .46 prop size



ok i have this os max 46 on my velox 58 and i am wanting to get alittle more speed i have a 10x6 on it right now that was the prop that they suggested for break in what should i move up too

Try an 11x6 APC or a Master Airscrew Scimitar S2 11x7 and see which you like better.

I agree with Ed as well. The 10x7 is probably going to be your best bet for a little more speed.

Which OS .46 is it? That will make a difference in prop selection.

I'd try an assortment of sizes and even brands.

If it is a .46-AX or FX, I'd try an APC 11x5 and 11x6, maybe even an 11x7. I'd definitely try 10x7 or 10x8 too though.

If it is a .46-LA then You might look at going to maybe a 9" prop with a higher pitch. Something like a 9x7 or 9x8.

By trying several you will be able to zero in on the one that gives the best all around performance based on how you like the plane to fly.

I agree. if it is the ax, i am using a master airscrew 11x7, for the la, a 10x6 is good. I have both engines and the ax produces way more power and rpm.
