ok i have a futaba 2.4 7c system and i have a question i have 7 planes and 4 617 recievers..,. is it posible to switch a few of the recievers back and forth from one plane to another and just have different model settings for the plane in the radio if so how are you guys doing it

Sure, you can set up the plane with the receiver in it, get it all programmed into the radio and save it. At that point, you can move the receiver to another aircraft, set it up for that plane, and save that setting under a different model. When you want to switch back, simply install the receiver in a plane and go to the settings for that plane. The receiver doesn't care what plane it's in as long you make sure the model setting is correct in the radio

Yes, I'll agree with that last statement. I do the same thing on my planes. No tonly will it help save time when installing the receiver, it'll help safeguard against plugging servos into the wrong channel- which can have a disasterous outcome! One more thing- ALWAYS check control surface movement prior to taking off. There is nothing worse than losing a plane due to control surfaces moving the wrong way on takeoff!

Better yet - check the controls before even starting and AGAIN before Taxi-out or takeoff. This is one thing that is impossible to do too often.
Edit - in the prestart check be sure to check for correct direction and amout of throttle movement.

Stand behind the plane, move the aileron stick to the right, the right aileron should go up. If not.... don't fly it just yet [X(] fix it first. The elevator should go up when you pull the elevator stick back (towards you). The rudder should follow the stick, and, well, I won't get into the throttle, I think you get the idea.
