Default PHOENIX FLIGHT SIMULATOR - PROBLEMS WITH TRAINER JACK

Hello. Irecently bought a phoenix fligh sim that came w/ the spektrum dx5 transmitter. The simulator worked great for about a month. However it seems the trainer jack has come loose or possibly the adapter is bad. Iam loosing signal causing the flight sim stop and generate an error message. Tells me to re-connect the transmitter. Has anyone had a similar experience with this? Any suggestions on how Ican fix this or get an adapter that will fit. It seems the adapter that came with the simulator is a specially made transmitter and others I have purchased dont have a long enough prong to establish a connection. Any help?
