Default Weekend of Landings

This weekend I was committed to improve my landing skills, so I must landed about 60 times this weekend, I did it up wind, down wind, cross wind; I even have moments of gusty wind and then no wind at all.

By the end of the Sunday I have it nail down, now I can say that I can land my trainer in any way I want(in one piece usually), with no bounces, I can landed fast or slow as I want.

Not all the landings were nice specially on Saturday, but on Sunday, I probably landed 45 times and like 3 or 4 bad landings, the other were by the book.

Thank's to all of you who advised me on landings techniques.

Keep at it and burn lots of fuel. It only gets better...

I almost burned half a gallon or more.

This is addictive isn't it? (the flying I mean)

What could be sweeter than a perfect landing? Like golf, it is that one good hit out of a hundred that keeps you coming back.

I learned from Tim Mills that the first maneuver to perfect with a new plane is the landings. This thinking has helped me more than once!

Some one told me "a landing is a controlled crash", so then what is a take off?

I have my students after solo to do one flight of just touch and goes ever time they go out and fly for the first year. They get good at them. Most don't do the whole flight, but they get practice. There is no substitute.
