Default Pay it forward is coming back...

Not sure where to post this (sorry):

Years ago we had a "pay it forward" thing going where we would help new folks, typically young kids or folks who could not afford it get started in the hobby by sending them supplies.

Well I had a really bad last year and I almost did not live through it (literally), on top of that I was a dead-beat seller in the marketplace here on RCU so I have decided not only to try to make amends to those folks but to get a little Pay it forward action going again.

I have a few old radio systems (Futaba 6EX, Futaba Conquest 6 ch. and a Hitec Flash-5, with RX's and a some servos) that I was going to sell because I inherited a Spektrum-DX7 from my dad but I have realized that these systems are just not worth that much so I would rather give them to needy hobbiest's.

Please post here if you know someone who would benefit from some of this stuff. The radios work perfectly and I have range checked them-

I have some other stuff I got from my dad but I thought I would start with these radios-

It is good to be alive!

Default RE: Pay it forward is coming back...

i know of a kid that could use a radio (13 maybe)....im trying to him help get off the ground,
he has most of the equiptment already, engine, servo's (engine is fine havnt tested the servos for him), all he really needs is a airframe and radio. his grandpa gave him the stuff that he had in the attic from about 15 years ago
im going out later today w/ him (hopefully....its rather windy) to give him a flight or too. hes been to the field w/ me before, seems rather interested, had trainer troubles and couldnt give him a test flight though.

ill let you know how it works out, im not going to give you his contact info until im 100% sure that he is going to go through w/ learning how to fly. ive seen a lot of people show interest then drop out after a week or two.
