Can't answer that JollyPopper. All I know is it don't run for beans. Thanks to an RCU member that is going to take a look at it. I am not skilled in that area.

im guessing your cam isnt timed correctly. thats why its turning such a low rpm....my magnum .91 fs was skipping cam teeth, sent it in and they fixed it. that being said when it was off one tooth the rpms would drop into the high 8000 low 9000's so im just guessing your cam may be off a tooth.

The only thing I dont understand is why HP would replace anything without goirish's permission. Normally, the tech should inspect the engine and then report the findings to the owner prior to any parts being replaced without consent. (except for the missing keepers, which is what he sent it in for)
An engine that ran fine, then was oiled and put away sealed for some time shouldnt have needed anything but the keepers replaced and installed. Somethings obviously goofed but I couldnt say what without getting my paws on it.
Luckily, its sounds like someone with some engine repair experience will be checking it out soon.
