i have chosen an almost ARF contender. my friend says it is easy to fly but he is a 3d pilot so everything is easy to him. does anyone think this is an easy plane to fly?

I'm not sure if the Contender I'm thinking of is the same one you have. If it is, it's not a beginner's plane. But I'm fairly sure the one I'm thinking of has been off the market for a while, and was never ARFed. Do you have a link to it?

Get your friend that flies 3d to help you learn to fly, you will be amazed at how much easier it is when an experienced pilot gets you out of trouble.

Ok, that's not a beginner's plane. You might be able to handle it anyway, but don't be surprised if you can't. That is the plane I thought it was. It's more of an intermediate plane. It used to be considered an excelent "pattern trainer", meaning it could be used to learn to fly the more basic pattern competiton routines.

It should fly really well though. It's a good plane, just not for a beginner.
