ok i am looking to buy this plane from a friend..... he currently has a satio 220 on it and i am not interested in that nitro hog.. I want to go to gas i see where hanger 9 recomends a light weight 50cc... my question is with the satio 220 on it which has 3.5 hp it flyes great and will 3d and all.... but i am wanting to go to small gas and i have been looking at the DLE30cc which has 3.7 hp would think engine be fine for this plane they bout weigh about the same and the dle has alittle more hp

How much does the airplane weigh?

I would think at least 40cc for an airplane that size or a nice lightweight 50cc like a DA, DLE, OS-55cc, etc.

My Great Planes 27% Extra with a 50cc gas engine is great.<br type="_moz" />

And how do you plan to fly it, 3-D or IMAC. The DLE 30 is one of the better engines to come out of China and is a little power house. The planes weight and how you want to fly it are key factors. IMAC then the 30 is perfect but 3-D I would lean towards the 55. Don't look at the horse power ratings given by the engine manufactures. I had a 62 in my 30% Extra but the plane was a heavy weight and there was no 3-D in that combo.
