Hello,
I've been looking at the buying the TT trainer to get into rc planes. Here is what i put together so far. What other things do I need to get this off the ground? What do you all recommend? Thanks!
Thunder Tiger 40 Yellow ~ $99
Thunder Tiger 46 Pro ~ $90

Most all of your 40 size trainers are good and the engine you chose is a good engine. You'll need a radio and the choice there is endless and will depend mostly on how much you are willing to spend.
You'll need a flightbox;

Then you will need the necessities to go in it the flight-box, the basics are: 12V battery, engine starter, fuel, a fueler (hand crank or electric), glow plug starter, and various screw drivers and wrenches.

My Feedback: (4)
Dusty left out the most important thing. An instructor!
Do not try to do this on your own. While a very few, perhaps 10%, try and manage to learn without help, they are the exception. And of those, 90% crash numerous times and spend much money than necessary.
Do a "Search" here for lots of info. Try "beginners" or "newbie".
Good luck,
