wing problem

Default wing problem

i have slight alignment issue ina set of wings for an avistar 40 after epoxied they slide about 1/16" left wing higher than the right any advice would be most appreciated

If the whole wing is off so that the angle of incidence stays the same, then it's not a big worry. If just the back or the front moved creating a twist, then that can cause trim difficulties. It's nothing that can't be fixed though.

How do you mean"theyslide about 1/16" left wing higher than the right"? If there is a twist, IE the the leading edge lines up, but the Trailing edge doesn't, then that is a bit of a problem. If both the LEand TEare shifted up the same amount, then don't worry about it. If it is the first case, the you will probably need some trim on the ailerons to correct for it. It may roll one way better than the other.

In either case, don't go nuts worring over it. I've seen, and flown some really asymetrical stuff. It makes you a bit more concertrated on what you are doing, but it isn't the end of the world.

If you can, post a photo or two and you will get a better answer.

thanks guys the LE and TE are dead on so i guess im worrying over trivial things the curse of trying to vbe a perfectionist again thanks for the help

Just make sure that the wing sit level in relation to the tail and you'll be fine then.
