DIY simple parachute drop!
I built my own parachute drop! It is very simple to do! I am dropping from a kadet senior, the perfect plane for this! Just get an old action figure about 6" tall with moveable arms. Drill a hole in each hand. Attach 3 strings about 2 feet long to each hand. Get a 30 gallon trash bag and hold by one of the sealed corners. Slide other hand down bag until you reach the other corner and cut it there. Attach 6 pieces of packaging tape equal distances apart at open end of chute. Attach the strings to each piece of tape.
On plane, put an extra servo in plane and use an extra channel. I used the flap channel. Attach a control rod to the servo and run it out the side of the plane. On opposite side of plane attach a control horn. Put an end link on the horn to hold a rubber band. Run the rubber band under the plane and over the paratrooper then to the rod sticking out the other side of the plane. When servo is activated. The rod retracts into the plane releasing the rubberband and the paratrooper! Works great!!!

the control rod in the previous pic holding the rubber band is conected to a servo and retracts inside the fuselage to release rubberband. Here is a pic of my skydiver(Dale Earnhardt Senior). Use a 30 gallon trash bag for the chute and cut as described previously.

I didn't realize the late Dale Earnhardt was a skydiver
