Default both servos going in same direction, can I use a Y

For some reason I had this problem with setting up my 4*60 now have it again with my Spit.

Ok,dual servo wing, I have one control rod on the wing tip side, the other wing panel servo and control rod on outside as well,,,(wing tip side, both servos are going in same direction. I'm not too interested in the flaperon set up. Can I use a "Y" harness and connect it to channel 1 and have them going in opposite directions? I'm using a Hitec Flash 5 Computer radio,,

thanks,

cruzomatic, I think I understand what you said but I don't know why you said it. The "Y" will not change the direction of your servo but I think it is moving in the proper direction now unless you are using Hitec servos on one side and futaba on the other.

I understand you fixed it yourself. But if you have an "old" non computer radio and non-reversing servos companies make Y's that reverse one servo so you can do just that. It's just a Y with one lead reversed.

I have a Hitec Flash 5.

What happened was, I installed the servos and connected them to a "Y" and tested them. I noticed they were both moving in the same direction and assumed they would deflect the ailerons in the same direction as well, thus I posted the thread. After taking a closer look, I took note the servos were not mounted in the wing in the same direction. I flipped one of them over and had both control rods on the outer edge facing the wing tip.

I was mistaken from the beginning and should have taken a closer look. I left the thread active as others might have learned something by it.

Geist, I was thinking the "Y" could cause the servos to move in opposite direction. My mistake,

That's one of those "Brain Fart" mistakes that we have ALL made at one time or another.
