batter pack for an older transmitter Please help
My dad has an older airplane that he use to fly and the battery pack for the transmitter does not work and i dont know where to find one its a 10.8 volt 500mah 9 cell pack does anybody know where i can get one or something that will work in its place any help or info will be appreciated

Before you invest more money in the radio, you should check to make sure it conforms to the current requirements. Radios sold before 1991 may not be usable without being updated.
You might be surprised at how cheap a modern radio can be. A used one is not much more than the cost of the battery pack.

Yeah, I don't know of any transmitters made today that use 10.8 volt packs, they're all 9.6 volt (8 cells).
Chances are that the radio you're father was using is no longer legal. It may not even be on a current legal frequency.
Let us know more. Manufacturer, number of channels, does it have a silver sticker on the back with a 1991 date? Post a picture of the transmitter if possible.
