100% agreed with Gary. NiCd work fine with wall wart slow chargers, but a peak charger, especially one with a cycler, can actually tell you how good your batteries are. The vast majority of NiCd/Nimh failures occur slowly, so regular cycling will let you catch a bad pack before it costs you a plane. With so many people going to the big Lipo's now and wanting internal balancing, a 50 watt charger/cycler can be had for under $40 used. It's the best piece of support equipment you'll ever buy and will save you much more in the long run that it costs you.

I replaced my battery last night with a NiM, 4.8V, 1500Mah. Charged it overnight and voila! I have power again. I will get me a peak charger in the near future as well. Thanks for all the help RCU!
