DX6i Flaps
Does anyone have insturction on how to setup flaps on the DX6i Radio?
|
RE: DX6i Flaps
It depends. Do you have a receiver that has an input for flaps or are you planning to use an AUX channel?
|
RE: DX6i Flaps
Yes, I have a flaps option in my menu.

RE: DX6i Flaps
I'm pretty sure that you have to go into the settings and enable them by setting the amount of flap (%) you want once you hit the switch (and any elevator adjustment if you want that also).
It's in the manual isn't it? (not read mine that heavily for planes) |
RE: DX6i Flaps
Yeah, there is a page on it in the manual.

No channel for flaps on Rx but I have it working with gear. trouble is I don't know how to use the flaps switch on radio and to mix elevator. RE: DX6i Flaps
There is no "flaps" channel on any receiver. You either use two ailerons in seperate jacks and they work as flaperons or you use dedicated flaps in the Gear or one of the Auxiliary jacks.
Note it can't be done if you use a "Y"for two servos or only have one aileron servo. On the Model list go to the Flaps selection and assign how much elevator you want to add in. You have to set the switch to the LAND" choice (landing) and enter how much elevator you want. Try no more than 5% at a time. It's page 15 of the manual. |
RE: DX6i Flaps
Perfect jsut what I was looking for... Used a reversing y harness in aux channel... 25% down elevator in flap landing mode.. works well so far...

RE: DX6i Flaps
I do think you have to take it OFF inhibit or 'INH' on the screen first, then it's a matter of setting the overall level you want them to come down with the percentage.
You can also add some elevator trim mixing too |
