Best small scale flyer
 

What's a good small plane for backyards or parks that is easy to fly with 4ch and is fairly crash resistant. I already have flight experiance with the hawksky but was looking for something small and crashable just for smaller areas.

Hobbyking suggestions are preferred (USA warehouse ideally but not required) but anything is welcome!

I've been fairly impressed with the Parkzone micro T-28 Trojan. It's available RTF or BNF, it looks good and it flies very well. It can be flown indoors in a gymnasium-sized space as well.

The Trojan is a great flying plane, but unless you have a lot of space ( e.g. ACRES of land ) in your back yard, it may be too big for many residences.

In our area flying a Trojan or almost any plane will cause the Park Police to permanently escort you out, never to return lest you face a big fine.

However our club members fly the Trojan's all the time at Fun-Fly's... they are a riot when grouped together....

I really don't see anything at HK that I would consider suitable for an area less than 1-2 acres.

For the latter you want a Slow Stik or Micro-Flyer.

I like the micro line they have, your link got me looking around their site and I think I like the micro corsair a bit better. I have a turnigy accucel charger does anyone know if it is possible to charge one of those batteries with it?

A</a>fter doing a little reading it looks like all the micros require you to buy the rtf that comes with the rx and tx or have a spektrum unit to bnf. I dont have a spektrum yet.... and I don't want another tx/rx.</div>

You can merely replace the small RX that comes with the plane with one that works with your TX.

I assume you have 2.4ghz gear...

The Accucell is based upon the iMax b6 Charger design.

That charger is the basis for the Hitec, Venom, and many other chargers.

It has no problems balance charging Parkzone and Eflite packs and also doing straight charging for each.

HK also sells adapters for other dissimiliar packs such as the Thunder Pro packs, that vary in their balance lead connectors/pinouts.

The description says that the ESC is a receiver/ESC combo in one unit.... That's what I was confused about.

Actually that is correct, the AR6400 does indeed have an integrated ESC and microservos, so it must be used with a Spektrum/JR TX.
