Normally the "straight" leg of the gear is forward, but it really doesn't matter. A half inch either way isn't going to affect ground handling that much. Normally I mount mine to help get the CG right - every little bit helps and if turning it around will improve things then I do.

Thanks for the clarification. Yes, it did look like yours was doubled back, hence the question.
