RE: Building a flight box

Thanx a lot for posting this forum. To kill some time during this very cold and windy winter up here (alaska), I'm going to attempt to build one of these. I say attempt, because knowing me, I'll probably screw up at the very beginning and quit!

Oh, and I did some quick conversions... :D

Length (of base) 20.47 inches
Width (of base) 8.27 inches
Height (total) 16.14 inches
Width (of centre section) 11.22 inches
Height (of centre section) 9.84 inches
Bare weight ~ 8.82 lbs

Real nice job you did,and don't worry about the paint,it really looks good.
I have a question tho,why did you convert the steering wheel on the "other" side ? j/k
Congratulations [sm=thumbup.gif]

RE: Building a flight box

G'day - I am currently building a field box (nowhere near as good as yours). I am interested in how you finished it (I know zilch about building and painting). I used sanding sealer to smooth the surface. I meant to use two coats but got bored so after doing one coat of sand sealer and sanding it, I painted the box with one layer of fuel proof enamel based paint. I will put another coat of paint on in a couple of days. The box has brush strokes and a few drip marks all over it. I would therefore like to use the same spray technique you did after sanding the box and putting another layer of paint on the box with a brush.

Which kind of spray paint did you use?
