prop nut?
 

ive just finished a tufflight 4d and installed an aluminum prop nut. with my other planes my starter turns CCW to start. if i do that with the prop nut it unthreads. dont tell me ive been running my other planes the wrong way and nobody noticed. i did start it today by hand, but is this what i have to resort to? btw CCW is looking at the prop from in front as im starting.

The nut should be tight enough where the nut should not come off.
Tighten the nut tighter.

Your engine is running the right direction. I use a alum prop nut also with a CCW starter. Just make sure that the nut is tight enough and you should not have a problem. Like Geistware said.

Ditto on the 2 above posts. I have a Saito 120 with a prop nut. It never came loose on me. Just be sure to tighten it down good. All will be fine.

[b]You got it right steener, You have to spin and start the engine CCW, I think every internal combustion model airplane is designed and timed to run CCW. Otherwize you would have to use a pusher prop. If you have the fox spinner nut that comes with the deluxe 4D you should use a nice piece of 5/32 X about 8" music wire to tighten the nut. And be careful the engine doesn't get too much fuel in it causing liquid lock, (flooding) you can bend a con rod if you use a strong starter. Take out the glow plug and clean it out first.

thanks everyone for the info. i thought i was doing it right but, then i started second guessing myself. i feel kind of silly asking this ? seeing its my third plane. just thought i was missing soomething. thanks again
