tower 46 question
My tower 46 pro will only start if you put your finger over the carb. Is this a tuning problem or something else

RE: tower 46 question
You are not providing enough information.
Are there bubbles in the feed line? Have you tried richening up the high-speed needle (try 2 - 2 1/2 turns open from fully closed)? Did you mess with the low speed needle? -- Try turning it 1/2 turn counter clockwise? Is your pressure line plugged? Have you tried changing fuel lines (including tubing inside the tank)? Is it an inverted mount? We need more to go on -- describe the set-up in some detail, as well as all of the remedies that you have tried. |
RE: tower 46 question
When you first fuel it up, you will either need to spin the prop with the starter for a few seconds, or put your finger over the carb and turn it over about 4 turns to get the fuel from the tank into the carb. This is normal. Is this what you are talking about?

RE: tower 46 question
I would be careful firing up an engine with my finger over the carb, thats pretty close to the prop. If you have the starter in the other hand thats a recipe for a couple dozen stiches.
If you are just trying to prime, like Fatsky, said thats normal. |
