RE: OS 46 FX or AX

Hi all,
My ebay FX update...
My 46FX arrived today, two days after sending payment.. She looks
good!! Now to put on Dazzler and break her in:-)....

Hey air hawk, You may get more replies if you start another thread..
I know some on engines and I know they are made well these days
reducing run-in time.. But I still believe you can't go wrong if you
run at least 2-3 tanks of fuel through a new engine at a richer
setting.. And leave a little richer and limit full throttle runs while flying
for at least the next 3 flights... Treat her right from the start, and she
will treat you right for a long time....

That being said.. If you only ran one tank full, then flew with a lot
of full throttle runs, along with a pinched fuel tubing you could have
a problem.. The engine should not rattle.. and you may have to send
it back for repairs and hope they repair for no charge...But have
someone check it out at your flying club... That's one of the many
great reasons to belong to a club... Most have been there done that..
Which saves you money

Good luck

RE: OS 46 FX or AX

Thanks for your info Ron,
I managed to get a member at the field today and he has a lot of engine experince so we fired it up and
sure enough I was getting an endless stream of air bubbles that was he believes to be the main problem. He got it adjusted nicely
but I guess I got to remove the fuel tank again to try to find out where the air is coming from. He believes the engine was not
damaged as I was running it actually to rich so he adjusted this and also my fuel line was way to long causing some of the bubbles
from vibration so we shortend that up and it did help some. Engine really sounds good now with a lot better transition but those air
bubbles are making it run a little off so thanks for your help and I greatly appreciate it.
