Copy, and print for your shop.

RE: OS 160 FX Propeller
Try either the 16X10 or 17X8. Both are good and should give you about 9000-9500 RPM.
BTW the OS 160 is a great engine but it must be run on the rich side and MUST have LARGE fuel lines throughout to include the tank and all fittings. |
RE: OS 160 FX Propeller
Cool graph, Jett'.
Everyone I know with a 160fx is running an 18x6 or 18x8, which oddly is out of the range shown in that chart. |
RE: OS 160 FX Propeller
Hawker does not know- he only flys park fliers... :)

RE: OS 160 FX Propeller
Sure, but you haven't lived until you've strapped a 160fx onto a Magic! :D

RE: OS 160 FX Propeller
Or a slow stick!
The chart is old(er), so maybe it's out of synch for the larger engines.......I just pass along what I find, and I found it on the web- recently:eek:. |

Do a search here on the OS1.60FX,and on the Extra. Here is a pic of mine on the Sig Extra 300SX. Before you glue the stab, please check the incidence. Mine was off, and I had to sand the forward part of the saddle to get the incidence correct. Very Nice flying plane. I'm using an 18x6 prop. I use a Bisson muffler and a Perry VP 30 pump.
