Thunder Tiger PRO

I was recently given a Thunder Tiger Pro .46 BB ABC & a TT PRO.40 BB ABC. They both have several missing parts and I have exhausted all my means to finding any Thunder Tiger parts lists or even after market parts such as exhaust pipes. I figured Tower Hobbies was my best bet but they have parts for every name brand motor except Thunder Tiger it seems.

If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

p.s. I believe this was also asked by someone else in engine forum but I followed up those responses without success. I am trying this forum since I am a beginner and there is more traffic. Hoping for better luck.

What parts do you need?

If you are looking for mufflers -- use the Tower Hobbies .46 muffler on both of the TT Pros -- they are cheap, they fit and you will get a very usefull power boost.

Check out the TT website for parts & service.

www.ehobbies.com lists a lot of Thunder Tiger parts.
The web site is not really easy to navigate.
If you can get the part numbers from the scans above it will make it easier.
Finding a phone number on the site and calling them might be best.
The US Distributor, Ace Hobby, does not sell to individuals at all; only hobby shops.

All I need for the .40 is a muffler. The .46 is missing the carburetor, head and muffler.

Are tower hobbies motors parts interchangeable? or are only the mufflers interchangeable.

HercDoc,

For mufflers, for both engines, the [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJB16&P=ML]Tower Hobbies Muffler[/link] is the best option - imho. Cheap in price and the power boost is significant. It's all I'll run on my TT Pro 46 engines. Unfortunately, I see Tower is out of them until possibly mid September. It'd be worth the wait, however as they really add rpms to the top end.

For Thunder Tiger Parts [link=http://www.paulsmodelsupply.com/]Paul's Model Supply[/link] can't be beat. Great service! Paul knows his stuff about engines. He usually has a very good stock of TT parts - as well as parts for many other engines. And he has the best prices on TT parts I've found. Call him! He's really easy to talk with on the phone. He ships quickly.

If you can find a used one, or can buy a new one , an OS .46 FX carb will fit the TT.46. I don't know about the head. OS .40/.46 FX mufflers will also fit, as will A MECOA .46 Tomcat muffler, or a GMS .47 muffler.

MVVS49 carb will fit TT46, also it will be cheaper than the original ... I am using one here.

When I needed parts for my .46 Pro I called Ace Hobby (the distributor) and they pointed me towards Quantum Models to order my parts. They had most of them in stock. If I remember right it took about two weeks for them to show up at my door.

Way too long to wait for parts! When I ordered from Paul's Model Supply I had a new crank case for my TT Pro 46 in 2 days.

Thanks for the tip on the Hobbico Muffler, Dauntae! I want another one and didn't want to wait until September.
