My brother designed his own and he and my dad built it. Came out way big and heavy though, but very spacious! towerhobbies.com has several to choose from in various states, build it as a kit all the way to ready to tote!

For $20 you can go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy a nice big plastic tool box to put all your stuff in and modify it a bit like mounting your fuel pump on the side and such. Some guys get big tackle boxes also. After a while you will too.

Here is one that I sniped from this site a while ago, looks simple enough, and it could be easily modified to support most any needs.

Dont get the $12 Tower one, its too small,,go to walmart and get a $4 caddy/tote,,unless you are a very organized type of person, I'd steer clear of the tool box approach,,I just throw stuff in the tote and I can see all of it and get to all of it in a second, and a couple of baggies for the small stuff... I once used a large Flight Box (18X36X19). Then I got tired of pulling it around. A friend of mine has a nice one. It's big and has lots of drawers (that always slide open when carrying it), but then a part of it splits off with fuel and a starter attached to it.

In the end, thats all you really need. I still bring my big box of toys, but it stays in the car.

I quickly designed a small box and put it through the laser. Bingo! I had a micro box with a battery, panel, and one of those old Apollo bottles for fuel (with new fuel). I hooked up an electric pump to the 1L bottle and covered the battery and most of the box area with a large slab of foam. The foam allows me to rest a few tools and the starter without everything falling out. Screwdrivers are stabbed into the foam and never get lost.

The handle is a section of ABS conduit pipe. The whole thing was real cheap to make.

Since everyone has seen my cute box (specially with my name written on it with the laser) people asked it I could cut one for them.

Some customers ask for it, so I just wrap it in with the kit they order. I don't think we will offer it officially, but it would be nice.

Life is easier when your engine cuts out when taxing, and only have to run a small box out to the plane... rather then bring the plane all the way back to the pit station.
