aceracer,
Do you already know how to fly? If no don't be suprised if you first flights are measured in seconds and require repairs and parts. R/C Planes aren't like R/C cars or boats... They aren't as forgiving. You might want to visit a local club and get assistance if possible |
RE: rtf plane
For getting started, electrics allow you to fly in
parks and perhaps even your yard. They are quiet and clean. I leave one of mine in my car at the train station. When I get home, I head for the field, in my suit, pull out the plane, put in the battery, do a range check, fire up the motor and up I go. 10-15 minutes later I land, switch batteries and up again! Depending on the light, I might be there an hour and get in 3-4 flights, still in a suit. Then put it away and home for dinner. Below I list RTF electric planes for beginners. I love it and recommend it highly I have almost 250 flights on mine. It is a ready to fly package which includes the radio, charger, batteries, and all. $150 http://horizon.hobbyshopnow.com/prod...p?prod=HBZ3500 Review http://www.hobbyzonesports.com/Disco...ID=1289#Page01 Discussion Thread http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=147621 Other good RTF Starter Planes Slow-V from Parkzone (I haven't flown this but reports are good.) http://h1071118.hobbyshopnow.com/pro...p?prod=PKZ1300 Discussion Thread http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_20...tm.htm#2089493 In addition to being fun planes, the Aerobird and the SlowV can use the X-port acceories for air to air combat, night flying and bomb drops.
