Hi!
A bad choice! Sorry!
Several reasons for this...its semi scale....means it's not optimized for good flying characteristics, It's also too fragile with its weak foam wings, fuselage, spats and wing supports...and it's too small to fly well outdoors.
A much better model if you want to fly electric outdoors is the Multiplex Easy Star http://www.mft.nu/
or any of it siblings. Or if you can fly well; a Shock-flier from Icarus (Germany) and the smallest AXI outrunner motor, 3 cell, 450mAh E-Tec lipo cell, 8x4,3GWS prop, 4,5g Diamond servos (German made), Jeti 5 reciver (Tjeck made) and Jeti jes 8-3p plus speed control (9g).This model weights just 150g (5-6oz) with the above servos, lipo cell and motor and is capable of all maneuvers.
But...I would still recommend a .40 glow powered model like the Kyosho Calmato for all interested wanting to become an R/C pilot ... and of course joining a club!
For me model flying is much being member of a club! There you can get all the help you want an need to become a good flier. There you can learn how to build and trim out an airplane and learn good flying manners and of course much more.

actually, i think that the plane is balsa, not foam. i have seen somebody fly it many times in 10+ winds, and it handled very well.
