If I am invited and if you guys dont mind helping me, I will be there.

I had a great time last night, seeing something I build fly made me pretty happy. My plane had 3 flights lastnight, only one of them was mine cause we ran out of daylight. The guy that flew my plane for me and got it set up was very helpfull.

If I come saturday, I may bring my dad with me.

Wes, sounds good...we'll have to get you some directions.
I better check with the better half to make sure I've got clearance for Saturday!

Hey Wes, Let's not fly Thursday and plan on Saturday in P'burgh. I hope to be there but I have to see what my son is doing. He just bought a house and may be moving.

Better Idea

Fly both days....Wes could use the practice.

Wes, Did you join AMA yet? Both of our clubs require it and the one we're going to the guy make you fill out a form before you fly. It's a landownder release and he asks for your AMA number. I think you cna do it on line or most LHS can do it for you on the spot.....

It looks great, Wes. You really did a great job. I can't fly Thursday after all. I have to work tomorrow and then I have other things I have to do so I can head to PA on Saturday.

Nice plane there Wes. It looks like it turned out really good. Once yuou master this I would recommend the Midstar or the 4*60.

Thats fine Mike, I joined the AMA lastnight so I can fly with you guys, but im not sure if I can make it to PA saturday, hopefully I can.

Doug, I checked out the midstar, do you know anything about it? easy to build/fly etc.. I also looked at the 4* 60, but when the time comes to buy a 2nd plane I think it will be the midstar. Im going to build this other trainer for Jen cause she wants to start flying.

We have a midstar and also the 4*60. Both are great flying planes. When you start the second trainer, trace all the ribs so you have templates incase you ever need to rebuild a wing. THe are easily cut out of balsa

Wes,
The Goldberg Tiger 2 is also another nice 2nd plane (it was the yellow and white one that I had in Summersville) In my opinion, I would go with the 4 star or the Tiger 2 for a second plane. Hope you can make it up on Saturday.

Thanks Mike, I like the Tiger2, but I wasnt sure if it would be a good second plane. Ill let you guys know if I can make it saturday. I think I can sweet talk Jen into letting me come up, she wount be able to come cause she gotta work.

Wes, it's a great 2nd plane....probably easier to land than your trainer.....it was my 2nd plane over a year ago and I still love it.....I increased the aileron and rudder throws a bit after I got comfortable with the plane and it's a blast to fly (when Michael Johnston isn't chasing me around the sky...) :)

Hypter, The Tiger II is an excellent second plane. It's not a difficult build either.

Hey MinFlyer, I looked at the tiger2, nice looking airplane. Doug suggested a 4*40 for me, so thats what I went with. Its just about finished. There are some pictures of it on my website.
