Need a plane for a .61 engine

I have an Evolution .61 engine sitting around waiting for a plane:D. I have read about the Sig 4* and H9 Ultra Stick (there are some at my club) but am looking for other options. I have been flying for just over 1 year and have flown the following:

NexStar
Spa3D
Spad DPS
Twist 40 (Flew the canopy off, literally:eek:)
Combat planes

I would look at both an ARF or a kit (I have a Slow Poke Sport 40 kit for this winter). I was going to use this as my low wing trainer but got impatient and got the Twist ARF instead. I would consider myself a sport flyer. I like to fly and have fun just being in the air. I am not particular to any certain type, I normally base my decisions on cost/looks.

Thanks in advance for the input,

Rob

My personal favorite .60-sized plane is the Goldberg Chipmunk. Consider also the GP Super Sportster. Tons of fun (and great looking, IMO), although not as fast and nimble as the Chipmunk.

If you don't mind a plastic plane Falcon trading has a Cessna & a Carosel that are 60 size. The Carosel is a super deal if you don't mind an INVERTED engine. They go togeather easy and fly great. Check them out at falcon- trading.com. ENJOY !!! RED

Try the UCD 46, mount the engine sideways and keep the rates low for as long as you need...fun plane and would make a good combo at you level.
Its about fun.....

Gizmo,

Is a .61 engine too much for the UCD? The reason I have the .61 is it was originally in the Twist. It seemed like it was too much for the plane (firewall seemed suspect to handle it) and I was flying 1/4 - 1/2 throttle at all times. I went to a .46 and it still flies great. I want to make sure if I get a "40" plane that the structure and control surfaces can handle the stresses that a .61 might present.

Take a look at the SIG King Kobra, great flying plane and a classic but no ARF's available.

The ST 90 fits well and the plane seems to handle it very well even with lots of human caused stresses.
A friend had an OS 61 FX on his and it worked well, there are no issues that I know of. Go to the UCD site here on RCU and read some of the applications. The 61 is tame.......
