Should build great. I have built 11/2 4 * 60s and 1 4 * 40. They built great and flew awesome.

Hey

You will love it, I am busy building a 4*120 at the moment, it is an absolute great kit to build. Even better that the 4*40, because it is so nice and big the parts are easier to handle ... Powering mine with a Saito 1.20.

Look forward to seeing your progress.

well everythings punched out and labeled. I got a hollow core door, but im afriad im gonna need to get some foam board to stick on it, as ive destroyed EVERY pin i had just trying to push them in to stick the plans down

I have to say, this is a beatuifuly made kit, and im looking forward to building it immensly

now you guys are really making me want to get my 120 four star...but i need to save up some money first, but it would be a good winter project if i could just find room in my dorm!...guess i'll just have to make room:)

txaggie08, It was suggested to me to get some acoustical ceiling tile along with the hollow core door, then attach it to the door smooth side up and your ready for your pins. You'll still have a nice flat surface that will easily accept your pins without leaving dents in your fingers:D

dunno what illuse over the door yet.

and yes, room is a necessity. I started laying out plans yesterday......on a 2x6' surface i can barely layout a wing panel and the tail. im hoping to be able to build left wing and hor. stab together, then the vert and the right together. the fuse is gonna have to stay off the board tilli finish the wings

On the trailing edge--just sand it untill it's smooth. On the rib--where there is a gap--fill it with baking soda and put a couple drop of thin CA on it. Makes a nice fillet for filling in the gap. It's hard to sand though--so don't glob a bunch on there and build it up too much.

Lookin' good.

RE: Four-Star 120 build getting started.

left wing panel is now fully framed and sheeted. I didnt get waxpaper from wal-mart os i dont know if ill be laying the right down tonight or not. I actualy might shift gears into the fuse as im going to need it when i go to finish the wing. I should have pics as soon as my roommate gets back

I have to say, this kit is VERY nicely put together. The only issues ive had are of my own making. I guess my biggest gripe with any of it is the lack of pictores explaining proper placement of the wing dowl suport and the sheer webbing(wich didnt take a rocket scientist to figure out on the webbing

these will be ti for pics for tonight at least

a question on the last one, should the bottom of the fuse be instaled that way with the tail wheel mounting block addition on the inside or the outside? i think thats done right but they dont show in the plans or directions

The fuse is not glued, just locked together with rubberbands.

On my 4*60 the tail wheel mount went on the inside. I think that would be best.

LOL. This has been realy smooth sialing....and everything is fitting right....wich disturbs me, and makes me worry somethings going to come to hell and a hand bag.

I also made a departure from the plans on the firewall. I epoxied it in were the plans call for ca. I just feel safe thingiking about a big motor being mounted on it with the epoxy
